In Unit 1 we learned about many different things such as discipline, character, attendance, productivity, social media, responsibility, organization, and a number of other thing. We talked about how all of these things affect you getting a job or getting where you want to in life. We learned how to work with others and how to present yourself. At the end we did a career search to see what we were interested in doing.

Unit 2: Excel
We learned vocabulary that deals with Excel. We learned the basics in Excel like cells, changing columns and rows, how to save your datasheet, creating formulas, and basics about the worksheet. Next, we did formatting and freezing in a worksheet. We learned how to do different kinds of charts, and also how to change the template.

Unit 3: Access
Unit 3 was about Access. we learned the basics and how to start up a Access document. We learned how to make queries and reports, how to make and modify tables, and how to create forms. We also did as project about social media in Access. We had to make a table with different social media sites that our friends and family used. We had to do a number of different things with that project to make sure we knew how to work Access.

Unit 4: Employability SkillsIn this section, we focused on a few different topics. We talked about good and bad work ethics, different situations and what to do. We also talked about different personalities, how to work with them, who we would rather work with, and our personalities. We discussed what we thought was praise, criticism, and feedback.

For this unit I decided to Blogger on Google. The assignment was to make this page as professional as possible. We had to have a standards page, which is all the standards we have done for the class of Business & Tech. Next we had to have a home page with information about us, the career we want to pursue, and our favorite quote. We also have a resume page. This is for employers to see our objective, the education we have, our extracurricular activities, and our different resources.

Unit 6: Research
Unit 6 is all about research. The first thing we did was the CRAAP Test, that checked for currency, relevance, authority, accuracy, and purpose. Next we did OWL Research. This website give all kinds of information about a variety of things. Finally, of our last thing we did was a big research project. We were assigned a topic and had to conduct research about it and present it in front of the class. My topic was "Should parents avoid vaccinating their children?". We also had to cite all the websites we used.
